Holiday Inn & Suites Warren by IHG

The staff was excellent and very helpful! The rooms were clean and the hotel provided Dove soaps and shampoos. The three star was for the location. If you’re from a larger city it was on and off convenient! It however was not located near great restaurants and the area was a bit sketchy. If you have family though that may need medical help there is a hospital very close. I would stay here again if I was passing through Detroit.

TLDR. Great service, clean, right next door to a lovely Tavern and Walmart (Walking distance EST <5 min). First off, my room was spotless. It is bare bones though. I needed a knife, or scissors, some kind of cutting object and there was not one to be found so bring any utilities you may need! That's the only bad part. Staff was great! The receptionist was a tall, skinny, middle aged woman with black hair and she was splendid! Always in a good mood, fun to talk to, and was more than helpful. We weren't charged with hidden fees. Despite being a non smoker I've been charged at other hotels for smoking, extra $20 for clean up services even though I didn't make a mess at all, even stripped the sheets and left trash bags and towels by the door. I've been charged things like tourists fees, forced gratuity and so on, but NOT here!! We weren't charged exactly what we were quoted and that's a plus. The WiFi was serviceable, pool was a little good but it did the job, no hot tub unfortunately. The elevator did have a mishap where it got hung up and fell a little, I have knee problems and that was a little rough on my knee. They had servicemen working on it while we were there so they were snappy with getting that resolved. The hotel itself is clean and smelt clean. Definitely one of the better Holiday Inn's I've stayed at around Mi. Our receptionist really was a joy though and I wish I grabbed her name because most often receptionist are cold and work like they are bored or frustrated, but she was just phenomenal. Thank you for keeping us comfortable during our 3 day stay!!

If you find a creepy looking building that looks like a haunted hotel you're in the right area. Legit thought that it was a closed down bank? But it's behind that building. Rooms were nice, staff friendly, and was a decent price.

Very clean, bed was nice. Only downfall is, the housekeeper kept asking us "are you checking out?" I wanted to take a shower, but she kept bugging me.

The hotel is clean, staff is friendly. Some fixtures are dated, but it's not something I care about but I know some do so I'm mentioning it. There's always coffee in the lobby and if you're lucky There's baked cookies once in a while. Pool is small, nice and usually empty. The restaurant food and staff are great. I had breakfast and dinner and it was tasty. Will choose this hotel again if I'm in town.

This was a well-kept hotel with clean, contemporary rooms and comfortable beds and pillows. The staff were especially warm and welcoming. The location struck a great balance being close enough to the downtown core while still offering the convenience of typical suburban amenities. The only downside to my experience was the lack of an available wine opener.

Had a great time at the bar! Bartender Katie is great! I love tequila she offered the Mexican candy shot it was GREAT I’ve never had it before, they also have a pool table! Definitely had a great night she was good company

I booked a few nights here earlier this week quite on the fly since the hotel I had previously was so egregiously terrible, I felt I had to go elsewhere. I am so glad I did too. The check in process was smooth, and Debra did an awesome job of answering my questions and explaining the amenities available. I didn't use the pool or gym so can't comment on them. The room was great and had plenty amenities that made my stay so much easier. I had breakfast at the restaurant only one morning, but everything was great and the lady serving me was very nice. If I had any minor complaints, I might say the carpet in the room could've used a deep clean, but this 8s me being nit-picky. I would definitely consider staying here next time I'm in the area and so should you!
